Our estimators work very hard to get your quote requests back to you as soon as possible, however due to high workloads sometimes there can be a delay, but we will always keep in contact to let you know how we are progressing with your quote.

How long will it take to make my benchtop?

Production of your stone benchtop usually takes 10 - 14 working days once material has arrived at our factory and a final site measure has been conducted. In some cases, we can do it sooner than this.
However, during busy times there may be a longer than usual lead time on installs. Our staff will be able to let you know our current lead times at the time of quoting. If timing is critical on your job, please let us know during the quoting stage and we’ll advise whether it is achievable before we proceed.

How can the type of stone or porcelain affect pricing? What considerations should I make when choosing the right stone for my project?

Type of stone: The price of a stone slab depends mainly on the process required to prepare it for use. Some types of natural stone can work out cheaper than man-made stone, despite the common assumption that natural stone is more expensive. This is because natural stone requires less processing than engineered stone.

Fabrication: Depending on the type of stone, even if at a reasonable price point, may require more manual and detailed method fabrication, which will be reflected in the price.
The least-expensive edge profile is a laminated 20mm pencil round, this is because most slabs come in a standard 20mm thickness. Other factors that will affect cost are, mitred edges, cutouts, complexity of the job etc.

Installation: Some types of stone require a more experienced stone mason / installer, especially for more fragile and delicate stone / porcelain varieties.
– Other factors that make some more expensive than others are its rarity, popularity and the distance it has to travel to get here.

Will Wave Surfaces disconnect and reconnect any of my appliances or sinks/basins when installing?

Unfortunately no, you will need to arrange this yourself with the appropriate trades people. All utilities , appliances and sinks will need to be disconnected and removed prior to your stone benchtop installation.

What is an acrylic solid surface?

Acrylic solid surface is a premium product that is fast emerging, using the latest manufacturing technology and is increasing in consumer popularity at an unprecedented rate. This is due to its flexibility and endless application possibilities.
Acrylic solid surface can be used for any new home, renovation or interior design project and can create a seamless finish to any vertical or horizontal application such as; kitchen, laundry bench tops, cupboard doors and splash backs or bathroom vanities. It is a great low maintenance, and economical alternative to standard stone benchtops. The added bonus of being able to repair and resurface solid surface benchtops onsite, means you will get years of high quality, and durable work tops.

What are the different edging profiles I could have with my Stone or Acrylic benchtops?

It really depends on the type of material you choose. Some natural stones and porcelain are better suited for certain edge profiles for asthetics and to give the best possible application to the matierals individual structial intergrity. Acrylic surfaces have boundless profiling options.
